Hear My Cry !
Thud …Thud
The pavement says
Love …Love
Echoes
in my head
An anchor pulls
From deep below
Mother Earth
Sends a stabilising
Flow
Thud …Thud
The pavement says
Love …Love
Echoes
in my head
Arms outreached
To the ethereal sky
I surrender
Hear me cry !
Thud …Thud
The pavement says
Love, dear love
Echoes
in my head
…You have Spirit on your side !
As a Dublin born lad, now living in England I can’t help but add a Yeat’s poem
When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

What a hauntingly beautiful poem Sean. Thank you for sharing it with me. I hold out hope that my Yeats will enter my life to love the pilgrim soul within, without the pain of a missed opportunity or love projected from afar.
Thank you for visiting my little blog and taking a moment or two to leave your generous thoughts.

Love will walk into your life when you’re least expecting it, and from a direction you’re not even looking in. It happened to me.
Have a good day.

Thanks for the well wishes, I am hopeful it will.
I think the feelings behind these words were more about the love of Spirit reminding me of its presence in my life. Hopefully this grounding will be a great place from which I can offer love in return.
Having a warm day here…it is heating up here in Far North Queensland …and a dust storm has traversed the eastern seaboard to spread a haze over the city !
Hope all’s well in your part of the world.
