My Hopes, Memories and Dreams

Pierced through the Heart

Your absence strikes

Like a needle

Pierced straight through the heart

Desire

        Loss

Craving

…the inaccessible…

Patterns that bleed

Through each year

Each month

    Week

        Day

            Moment

Of the tapestry

That is

My Childhood Story

Those knots

in my stomach

…Stitched so tight

Leave gaping holes

In my core

My sense of love

for myself

So intrinsically linked

        With

                You

  2. Thank you for stopping by, I hope all is good with you. I am trying to finish up a computer aps course by end of spring break, then I can concentrate on composition. Hopefully I can get back to simply concentrating on writing and squeeze a little poetry in. I miss everyone.

    • Hi Charles, well you certainly don’t want to spread yourself too thin, so if it’s a break you need for a while then I’m sure there will be a silver lining of a burst of creativity on you return !

That image is perfect for your lines. The visually “declining steps of time” is a nice touch. Great poem, Colleen 🙂
