Desperately, seeking Miley
A stained red pout
….cracked
……….craving
Bored and boring
…like countless others
Pressed dispassionately
upon the lens
Doe-eyes outlined
in Raven Vixen
belie the shallow pools within
Desperately pleading
…seeking
external capture
….just one small glimpse
of plastic perfection
binding an ego
stripped bare
from
within
“Doe-eyes…belie the shallow pools within”
I think you said it all right there, Colleen.
She is 18. And has already turned to plastic?
Oh, my! I guess we all seek perfection in some
form or another. Let her go hedonistic, and get
it out of her system while she’s young.
Of course, she’s not my daughter, and I’m not
actually advising her to do so. Ya know? 😉 UT

Hi Colleen
I have read through several of the poems and felt their essence. You have a marvellous ability to capture feeling: obviously you are emotionally intelligent and an intuitive: two highly valued intelligences in the creative world.
